Core Balance, a private physical and vestibular therapy clinic is seeking highly motivated, self-driven team players to work in the front office on a part to full-time basis. This position requires excellent time-management and customer service skills. We are seeking one full-time employee or two part-time employees. Some closing shifts will be required.
Required Skills:
- Perform Scheduling Functions
- Gather patient information
- Determine the most appropriate therapist for each diagnosis
- Evaluate the availability of each therapist for continuing care of each patient
- Arrange the therapists' schedules to accommodate appointments for patients
- Performs Registration Functions
- Register new patients using the EMR system (Prompt)
- Confirm/authorize that patients are on an eligible insurance plan and have physical therapy benefits
- Determine patient financial responsibilities and collect at time of service
- Perform Reception and Secretarial Functions
- Receive and make phone calls pertaining to patient care, rescheduling, etc.
- Greet incoming patients and guests with genuine warmth
- Use of office equipment such as fax machine, phone, keyboard, copier
- Responsible for office records (scan/upload/file/digitally file)
- Learn about and adhere to HIPAA Compliance Policies
- Ensure that POC's are signed and returned by referring doctors
- Complete patient discharges
- Make copies as needed
- Print daily sign-in sheet and schedules
- Prepare initial evaluation and progress note materials for the next day
- Complete specialized staff and office projects as needed
- Execute basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word
- Perform Basic Office/facility Cleaning (vacuum/dust)
- Maintain daily cleanliness of restrooms, facility, and therapy rooms
- Empty the trash daily
- Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry in PT rooms (towels and pillowcases)
- Occassionally assist physical therapists with testing
- Some closing shifts will be required. Our closing hours are M/W- 6 pm, T/R-7 pm and F-5 pm.
- This position requires sitting/standing at a desk, keyboarding, and some light lifting, bending, and cleaning.
- Benefits: Part-time employees working 25-35 hours a week have a 401K with match and Profit Sharing; Employees working 36-40 hours a week have 2 weeks paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, 401K with match, Profit Sharing, and Short/Long Term Disability. We do not offer healthcare benefits at this time.
- We are looking for candidates with scheduling flexibility throughout the summer which would progress to a more consistent daily schedule at the end of August.
